Obituary for Pat Robertson

Memorial Services for Pat Robertson, age 71, of O’Neill will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 1, 2022 at Word of Life Christian Center in O’Neill.  There will be a private burial in the O’Neill Cemetery.  Memorial visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Sunday, July 31, 2022 at Biglin’s Mortuary in O’Neill with a 7 p.m. prayer service.  Pat passed away on Monday, July 25, 2022 at the University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City, Iowa.  Memorials may be directed to his family for future designation.  Arrangements are entrusted to Biglin’s Mortuary in O’Neill. 

Patrick Charles Robertson was born on November 26, 1950 and was beloved by his parents Delbert Van and Ethel Eileen (Hickey) Robertson.  He attended St. Mary’s Academy and graduated in 1969.  While in school, Pat developed a love of music, playing guitar and fast cars.  After graduation, he attended tech school in Denver, CO. 

Pat returned to O’Neill and married his high school sweetheart, Janice Donohoe.  To this union were born three children: Rochelle Marie, Keith Patrick, and Jerri Jo.  The family made their home in O’Neill.  He was a skilled mechanic and could fix anything.  Pat always enjoyed spending time outside, and later in life he found a passion for ranching.

Pat enjoyed travel, flying, boating, guns, and playing guitar in many bands. He was passionate about experiencing new things, including new restaurants and recipes for good food.  Pat was also an avid hunter and fisherman.  He loved spending time with his children, as well as his seven grandchildren.  Pat will be remembered by his family and friends as a loyal and trustworthy man. 

Pat is survived by his wife of 51 years, Janie Robertson of O’Neill; three children, Shelly (Edward Frosch Jr) Robertson of Seattle, Washington, and their children, Henry and Elliott, Keith Robertson of West Palm Beach, Florida, and his children, Charles, Hannah, and Michaela, Jerri Jo (Hadi) Damavandy of Great Falls, Virginia, and their children, Juliette and Frank; one sister, Nancy Moss of O’Neill; two nephews; one niece; and a special canine pal, Lady.

Pat was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother-in-law, Tom Moss.
